"The New Communicators: Separating Emotion from Fact"

This session will address the challenges faced by district bargaining teams when communicating to diverse audiences, such as School Boards, the other team, parents, teachers, and even students. It will equip bargaining team members with tools for meeting these challenges through consistent and open communication, while protecting confidential information and strategies.

Thursday, June 25th

"Implementing and Interpreting the Contract"

This session will provide a step-by-step blue print for effectively responding to and defending against contractual grievances. It will focus on components of effective grievance management by addressing key aspects of the contractual grievance articles. It will also provide invaluable tools and strategies for preparing for and winning grievance arbitration.

"Transforming Strategy into Action: Effective Planning with the Board"

This session will provide valuable information to assist the bargaining team in developing and maintaining clear lines of board authority during all stages of negotiations.  Learn how to effectively plan with the board to ensure understanding, develop support and implement effective action. Learn how to prepare for and to avoid major roadblocks to effective communication.
