Public Finance Attorney Constantine Baranoff Travels to DC: Attends White House Business Council and Business Forward Forum on Jobs and the Economy

Sacramento | May 30, 2012

KMTG Shareholder and Public Finance Attorney Constantine C. Baranoff had the privilege of attending a meeting of the White House Business Council in Washington DC where California business leaders met with senior administration officials for an interactive dialogue about California's economic stature.  Specifically, the group discussed the importance of public-private partnership; how government and the private sector can collaborate more effectively to foster greater opportunity, innovation and job creation.  Prominent industries discussed during the May 18, 2012 forum included healthcare, technology, manufacturing, education and renewable energy.

It was an honor to be invited to participate on behalf of Sacramento, and explore methods by which critical investments may be made in Sacramento in order to position the economy for long-term growth,” said Mr. Baranoff, who was joined by 15 other business leaders.

The one-day forum was organized by the White House Business Council and by Business Forward, a nonprofit founded by some of the largest and most respected companies in the United States, to help bring business leaders into the policy-making process.  At the core of Business Forward’s activities are a series of roundtables and briefings taking place around the country and in Washington, DC.  In the first half of 2012, more than 2000 local business leaders from 500 cities will travel to the White House to brief the President's economic advisers and engage with local leaders in a conversation about the needs and opportunities in their communities.  For more information visit:
