Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard (KMTG) congratulates attorney Meghan Covert Russell on her recent appointment as a Vice-Chair of Programs for the Women Lawyers of Sacramento (WLS). Ms. Covert Russell's primary responsibility is to help coordinate WLS's monthly educational luncheons and help bring in presenters that embody WLS's mission of supporting and encouraging woman lawyers in their career aspirations and promoting a society that places no limits on their skills, talent and ability to succeed. WLS's January luncheon will feature the Hon. Thadd A. Blizzard who was appointed to the bench of the Sacramento County Superior Court in spring of 2009, and currently presides over both civil and criminal trials. Ms. Covert Russell is an associate attorney in KMTG’s Sacramento office where she represents school districts and county offices of education in a variety matters, including special education, student discipline and First Amendment rights, general governance issues, and school construction and facility issues. Ms. Covert Russell is a 2010 graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
