Kronick Hires Key Executive

Kronick Moskovitz, Sacramento's second-largest law firm, has hired Rick Fowler as its Chief Operating Officer.  Fowler is a successful business executive with years of leadership and management experience and strong ties to the  community.

Fowler comes to Kronick after having served for seven years as President and CEO of The Community College Foundation, a 500-employee, locally-headquartered organization that provides educational programs and other services for at-risk populations throughout the country, with a focus on youth in California’s foster system.  Prior to joining The Community College Foundation, Fowler spent 19 years with USAA, retiring in 2007 after serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Western Region.

Fowler also serves as Vice Chairman on the Golden Pacific Bancorp's board of directors.  A prominent figure in the local business community and highly regarded for his philanthropic support and service, Fowler's civic contributions are diverse, including current membership on the California Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Sacramento County Employee Retirement System Board of Trustees, and Chair of the U.C. Davis School of Education Advisory Board.  He also is the recipient of several community service awards, including the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce's Peter McCuen Award of Civic Entrepreneurship in 2010 and the United Cerebral Palsy's Sacramento Humanitarian of the Year in 2005.  He is a Senior Fellow in the American Leadership Forum, and a past board chair of its Mountain-Valley Chapter.

"Rick has achieved a record of success in a wide variety of complex and demanding business environments.  His success is built on creating a service culture in each organization he has lead,"  said Managing Shareholder Bruce Scheidt.  "In addition, Rick's strong relationships in business, government and nonprofits will create new opportunities for the expansion and growth of our legal services."
