KMTG Hosts Charity Event For The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento

Sacramento | September 30, 2010

Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard (KMTG) hosted a Charity Event and Open House Reception on September 23, 2010 at the firm’s Sacramento Office to raise awareness of and funding for The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento, which is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships and mentoring to high school students.

KMTG updated their annual client appreciation event to include a charitable focus, providing both staff and clients the opportunity to give to a worthy cause. Immediately, KMTG saw a great fit with The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento due to a shared local presence, focus on education, and goal of improving the community.

KMTG held a raffle with all proceeds benefiting The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento, which raised close to $4,000. In addition to the raffle, KMTG presented a surprise donation in the amount of $5,000 to the organization, totaling nearly $9,000 for the Foundation for the evening.

In addition to providing increased revenue for the Foundation, this event highlighted FUTURE students. The event projected descriptions of the FUTURE program in a slide show presentation shown in multiple rooms of the office. Several Foundation students also attended and participated in the event, providing the experience of a corporate event and practice mingling with professionals. Students assisted with the raffle, greeted guests at registration with event programs, and mingled throughout the event meeting guests along side their mentors.

KMTG Managing Shareholder, Addison Covert kicked off announcements by thanking close firm friends for their continued support. Covert passed the microphone to a FUTURE Foundation mentor, Brenda Crum where she spoke of the program’s structure and achievements. A student of the program, Katrice Burrell, described her personal experience, effectively illustrating the importance of the FUTURE Foundation program.

In addition to mingling among staff and close friends of the firm, guests had the opportunity to meet and hear remarks from Sacramento Kings Assistant Coach, Mario Elie.

KMTG rallied to collect diverse raffle items for the charity raffle. The firm appreciates the in-kind donations from vendors, including Xerox, Mama Kim Cooks, Maloof Sports & Entertainment, Ray Morgan Company, Arlene Finger & Associates, Jenkins Insurance Group, Cake Farm, Thomson Reuters, Indoff, Rob Jackson, Tropica Plants, Il Fornaio, California Musical Theatre, Paragarys, Tighten It, Inc., Joseph Anthony Salon, and Bob Evans Photography. The raffle included items, such as:

  • Electra beach cruiser
  • iPad
  • California Music theater tickets
  • Restaurant gift certificates
  • Canon PowerShot digital camera
  • Spa treatments
  • Kings tickets and sports package
  • and many more!

KMTG was proud to support The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento, and looks forward to a continued relationship with the organization.
