KMTG Attorney, Candice L. Fields, Appointed to the Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representative Coordinating Committee

Sacramento | November 13, 2009

Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard (KMTG) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Candice L. Fields to the Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representative Coordinating Committee (LRCC). Ms. Fields will serve as an Eastern District delegate to the LRCC for a three year term commencing January 1, 2010. Ms. Fields was selected by the United States District Court from a pool of nominations submitted by various organizations in the District.

“I am honored to be selected to serve as a Ninth Circuit Rep. by the Judges of our District and appreciate having been nominated for the Court’s consideration by the Federal Bar Association,” states Fields.

Ms. Fields has been involved in federal practice throughout her 15-year legal career. Before joining KMTG in 2008, Ms. Fields was employed by Segal & Kirby, where she helped litigate many of the District’s significant white-collar fraud cases, including cases involving banking, mortgage, tax and securities fraud. Now an integral member of KMTG’s business litigation and banking team, Ms. Fields has broadened her practice to include representation of financial institutions and business entities in a variety of litigated matters, including creditors’ rights, asset protection, recovery and debt collection, loan workouts, lender liability, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty litigation.

“I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this nomination,” said KMTG attorney Hayne Moyer. “Not only is Candice an outstanding litigator and advocate for her clients, but a real champion in the legal and local community.”

Ms. Fields plays an active role in the legal and Greater Sacramento community. With a dedication to building relationships, she has been a leader in the Federal Bar Association and the Leonard M. Friedman Bar Association. In addition to her service to the legal community, Ms. Fields’ background as an appointed Sacramento County Policy Planning Commissioner and as Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council working on intergroup and interfaith unity efforts reflects her commitment to the improvement of our community.
