CSDA Legislative Committee Welcomes Back Jeffrey Massey For 2nd Term

Sacramento

The California Special District Association (CSDA) welcomed back Jeffrey L. Massey for his second year serving on the CSDA Legislative Committee, a group of CSDA members who review and comment on political issues that concern special districts in California. Mr. Massey is an associate attorney with KMTG’s public agency practice group.

The Legislative Committee’s role is to advance and protect the interests of all California districts by reviewing ballot initiatives and bills and making recommendations of support or opposition to the CSDA lobbyists and Board of Directors. CSDA Legislative Committee Chairperson, Jo MacKenzie, in her letter to Legislative Committee members said, “2008 promises to be an exciting and busy legislative year, with three elections, a long list of ballot initiatives, and a host of two-year bills.” Over 35 CSDA members make up the committee, which includes district members and business affiliate members. “Each member’s expertise, time, energy and effort will be essential for special districts to accomplish their legislative goals,” Ms. MacKenzie wrote to committee members.
