Overview:

School districts in California continue to look to solar as an option both to meet sustainability goals and to achieve general fund savings. This session aims to demystify the process that can be complex and confusing. Now that many school districts have been through the process and results can be measured, we will use Chico Unified School District’s recent solar project as a case study. The session will focus on pre-construction planning and proper site selection, contract negotiation, financing options, what to expect during construction, and how projects are actually performing as compared to estimates.
