Presentation Overview:

The investigation of difficult complaints is increasingly common for school districts. Complaints requiring investigation can arise from uniform complaints by parents/students; sexual harassment complaints by employees or students; or complaints of unlawful behavior by teachers, classified staff, administrators, or even school board members. This workshop will cover both the basics and the most current issues in conducting investigations, including how to handle in-house or when to call upon an investigator or legal counsel.
