Gabriel P. Herrera, Shareholder
Gabriel represents lending institutions and other private entities in general and commercial litigation matters, including lender liability lawsuits, debt collection actions, construction disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and real property disputes. In addition, he provides advice and counsel to private entities on general business matters and represents health care providers, including FQHCs, in regulatory and administrative proceedings involving licensing issues, audits and compliance, overpayments, and other litigation matters.
Gabriel also advises clients in bankruptcy-related matters, including secured and unsecured claims, avoidance actions, discharge proceedings, relief from the automatic stay, the recovery and liquidation of assets, and exemption issues. He has successfully represented lending institutions and other private entities on complex bankruptcy issues, including being awarded a multi-million dollar judgment, and has represented Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy trustees in all aspects of administering bankruptcy estates.
Gabriel serves as general counsel for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and as the chair for the Sacramento County Bar Association Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section. Prior to joining Kronick, Gabriel served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Kathleen Butz of the California Court of Appeals, Third District Court of Appeal.
